The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ronald Hanisch can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Drafting at MRHS

I took Mr. Hanisch's drafting classes at MRHS back in the late 1970s. His encouragement and sense of humor made the classes I took a highlight to my school day. Eventually I moved onto a career as a licensed land surveyor, and this morning as I was working on the design of a subdivision plat, out here in Wisconsin, Mr. Hanisch flashed to mind. I decided to google him only to find this news. Please know he had a great impact on my life, and is instrumental in the pleasures I get out of this 30 year career I chose, and love. I remember his quick wit, sharp eye for detail, and that he was one of a few teachers who always came to class sharply dressed in tie AND jacket. Also, I enjoyed his classes so much that I recommended to my girl friend that she ought to take a couple of his classes, which she did for a year. I just phoned her this news and she too remembers him well. She's still my girlfiend. She's also my wife. Mr. Hanisch loved his work, and it certainly showed in my eyes. He will be remembered fondly. Rest in Peace Ron Hanisch, A student
