Maria Orengo Rosado, 66, of Long Branch, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Barnabas Health Hospice in Long Branch.

She was born in and Guyanilla, Puerto Rico and moved to Long Branch in 1964.

She was an instructional assistant for the Long Branch Board of Education for 19 years before retiring in 2010. Prior to that, she was a supervisor in the dietary department at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ofendencio and Margarita Orengo, 2 brothers, Jerry and Jose, sister, Midalia Maldonado and a grandson, Julian Samuel Cabrera.

Surviving are a daughter, Nydia Montanez; 5 sons, Luis, Israel, Samuel, Wilfredo and Edwin Cabrera; 4 brothers, Julio, Alan, Rafael and Luis Orengo; 3 sisters, Patricia and Myra Orengo and Maritza Smith: 13 grandchildren, Nelson and Antonio Gomez, Jessica and Joseph Gonzalez and Adam, Edwin, Cassandra, Nicholas, Stephanie, Ashley, Joseph, Justin and Wilfredo Cabrera and 7 great-grandchildren..
