Ciao Uncle Toni, I remember as if it was yesterday my first time with the family in Jersey. I had just landed and when I arrived at Lori's there was this big BBQ going on with all the family. Jet-legged and overwhelmed by this great and loud family, you were the one I immediately related to. Probably because you were still so Italian, much more so than the others. But also because you took a special interest in me: you asked me questions about Italy, you offered me cigarettes and wine, and I could see how you really wanted to make sure Lori was in good hands and that, if not, you'd have had to say something about it! I really appreciated your company and the short time we spent talking at your house. I wish we had had more, and that I could still offer you to come to our rental house this summer. I miss you uncle Toni and I know you are missed by the rest of the family, of which you were always the gravitational center of. You will always be in our hearts, including our kids'... they keep asking about you and if can they can Skype you in heaven, or wondering if you are not going to get lonely in heaven as you may not know a lot of people there... I told them, uncle by now will have met everybody and will be having fun watching over us from up there. I am sure he must have met the boss too by now! Buonanotte zio Toni, un abbraccio forte.
