Albert A. Amadruto, 90, of Neptune Township, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at home.

He was born in Asbury Park where he lived until moving to Neptune 52 years ago.

He was an area joint use supervisor for Jersey Central Power & Light in Asbury Park for almost 45 years before retiring in 1986. Bert was a WW II Coast Guard veteran and a member of the Lions Club, the Elks and the American Legion. Since retiring, Bert helped out at several area funeral homes as a funeral attendant.

He was predeceased by his parents, Vincenzo and Philomena Amadruto and his siblings, Frank, Agnes, Antoinette, Florence and Thomas.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Lillian; son, James; a brother, James Amadruto; nieces, Philomena, JoAnn, Lucy, Cathy and Louise; nephews, James, Thomas, Michael, Frank and George; his extended children/grandchildren, David and Karen, Judy, Al (Peanut), David Jr., Tom, Logan, Courtney and Gabriel Michael.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 14 at 1 pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 714 Herberstville Road in Brick.
