Virginia Knight, 67, of Tinton Falls passed away peacefully at home with her loving family on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
She was born in Philadelphia and lived in Tinton Falls for the past 40 years.
She loved going to the beach, traveling, walking on the boardwalk, going to the theater, music and dancing. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. The room would light up whenever she walked in and she was there for everyone and made you feel special. Virg was a wonderful friend and loved her family. She made a lasting impression on all who met her.
She graduated from Monmouth University in West Long Branch while raising 2 children and working full time at Fort Monmouth. She retired in 2011 after 31 successful and accomplished years. At the time of her death, she was still working from her home.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Mary Xaras and her brother, Theodore “Teddy†Xaras.
Surviving are her children, Christopher and his wife Megan Knight and grandson Ryan; Juliette Knight and her fiancé Nicholas Racioppi and her boyfriend of 30 years, Tom Carroll; her aunt, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Monday at St George Greek Orthodox Church, Ocean Township.
