Virginia A. Apostolacus, 80, of West Long Branch, died Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Doctor's Hospital, Sarasota, Florida. She was born in Long Branch and lived in West Long Branch spending the winters in Sarasota, Florida. She was a bookkeeper for over 20 years with Keith Smykal Associates, West Long Branch . She was currently employed as a bookkeeper in the Parking Department, at Monmouth Park Racetrack, Oceanport, NJ.







Virginia was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Louise (Mancini) Anastasia, and her brother, Joseph Anastasia. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, James, daughter, Susan Trocchia and her husband Alphonse (Chip), son, James (Jimmy), granddaughters, Alyssa, Carly, and Jenna Trocchia all of West Long Branch. Also surviving are her sister-in-laws Theodora Apostolacus of Long Branch and Joan Anastasia of Fort Myers, Florida, nieces Bonnie Lou Irwin and her husband Rick, Lisa Willms and her husband Robert of Cape Coral, Florida and many wonderful and loving family and friends.







Virginia was the best "Nanny" who adored and cherished her granddaughters.







Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-7 pm Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral 9:00 am Wednesday from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be to Spay, Neuter And Protect Strays, Inc. (SNAPS)
