Obituary for Theodore H. Beringer III


Theodore H. Beringer III, 92, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township died Friday, April 17, 2015.

He was born and raised in Deal before moving to Oakhurst 55 years ago. He enjoyed chess, surf fishing, history, politics and classical music. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oakhurst.

He was a certified insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Company for 30 years before retiring.

He was predeceased by his parents, Estelle and Theodore Beringer, Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Janet Coble Beringer; 2 sons, Andrew and his wife Theresa Beringer of Oakhurst and Peter and his wife Deanna Beringer of Brick; 4 grandchildren, Christopher, Amy, Matthew and Jennifer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 10 am Thursday at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Oakhurst, 103 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755.
