Stephen M. Morehouse, 25, a lifelong resident of Oceanport, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at home.



He was born in Red Bank. Stephen was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of six weeks. When Stephen was six weeks old, the doctors said that he was going to die the night he was in the hospital with meningitis. Then suddenly, Stephen's eyes opened and everyone was in shock. Stephen has been able to fight battles for 25 years and get passed them. He was an inspiration to all of us and he will be missed more than anything. Stepehen loved music and going for walks. His parents and siblings gave him good care. He graduated from the Children's Center in Neptune and currently was attending the adult program.







He was predeceased by his grandfather, Edward Morehouse.







Stephen is survived by his parents, Stephen and Joanne Morehouse; sisters, Christina and Amanda and brother, Greg; grandparents, Jane Morehouse and Ann and Herman Chieffalo as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.



The Morehouse family would like to thank Dr. Richard Reutter and staff members, Tara and Maggie.
