Rose Gizzi D'Ambrosio, 98, a lifelong resident of Long Branch, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Jersey Shore Center, Eatontown.



She was a communicant of the Christ the King Parish, Long Branch. She taught CCD at Holy Trinity Church for 25 year and enjoyed Bridge, reading, crossword puzzles and cooking her Italian Specialties.



Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Alex in 1982 and her 4 sisters and 5 brothers.







Surviving are her children, Alex and his wife Marilyn D'Ambrosio, Nina and her husband Eric Gaetjens and Claire and her husband Douglas A. Deicke; 5 grandchildren James and Matthew D'Ambrosio and their mother, Geri Lorimer; Erica Swenson, Douglas R. Deicke and Marion Carolan and a step-grandson, Jesse Callaway and 7 great-grandchildren.







Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral 8:30 am Thursday from the funeral home followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Christ the King Parish, 280 Division Street, Long Branch.
