Robert Anthony Piantanida, 73, of Tinton Falls, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
He was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County and worked from the time he was twelve years old. He retired as a Lieutenant from the West Long Branch Police Department.
Bob adored his children, his wife and two dogs. He found the greatest peace in working at their farm that had become their piece of Heaven on Earth. He was a workaholic, even when he was in pain. A Renaissance man who was respected and adored by so many, especially his wife and children. Bob was a Jack of All Trades and master of so many. He found his dream church, the New Apostolic Church in Wall which he attended on a regular basis in the last couple of years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Eunice Hurley Piantanida; his brothers, John, Donald, and Gary; his sister, Grace Arnold and his daughter-in-law, Lori.
He is survived by his wife Eniko, and his children: Robert and his wife Trish, Dawn and her husband Mark Graziano, his son Kevin, and his daughter Christine and her husband Don DeVingo. Bob is also survived by many grandchildren; Alyssa and Robert Piantanida, Giana and Carisa Graziano, Jake and Amanda Piantanida and Peter DeVingo. He is survived by his brother, James and his wife Maryann, and his sister Cara and her husband Sal Massaro. Lastly, he is survived by many nieces and nephews and an abundance of close friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 13th from 5 – 8 pm at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. There will be two memorial services held at the New Apostolic Church, 5200 Megill Road, Wall, on Saturday at 4pm and 6pm. Space is very limited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the International Myeloma Foundation or the Foundation of Women’s Cancer.
