Condolence From: Tom Filazzola
Condolence: Although I was young at the time and my memories now fuzzy, and we ended up living in different states, I've always felt a strong bond with you and you were someone I admired. I always thought you were so cool, so funny and wonderfully artistic. You seemed to me to be the one (maybe the only one) in our family who was so creative...so connected to the artistic side of life and all things beautiful. And I take solace in thinking that you lived your whole life that way, enjoying life's gifts to the fullest. I hope you are in an even more beautiful place now, and that you a resting in peace. We love you and will miss you. Cousin Tom

Condolence: I am the mother of one of your students, Taylor McQueen who had you for Stage Craft. I met you prior to her acceptance at FDU during Major Day. After that we briefly spoke at other performances. You were always so kind. You left an impression of a professor who sincerely cared and treated your students like one of your children. Clearly that was the case as I read what Peter Woolley wrote. You made a difference in my daughter life's. You were one of her favorites. You approved and signed her Spring semester schedule. As you rest peacefully may you continue to design God's home. To the family, may the memories that you've shared with Rich be kept in a safe place, your heart. May it guide you and give you daily strength. Respectfully, A mom who cares--- Gladys McQueen*gdm@carnegie.org

Condolence: Dick Turick was one of the most amazing men I have met. We worked together at NSC, later Kean University for many years. Each of his productions was dazzling, and he created his designs and his work with beauty, grace and style. We spent many hours together when students at NYU, commuting and sharing thoughts on life and theatre. He was filled with joy. My condolences to the family and to all who were lucky to know this loving, beautiful, talented artist. Jay

Condolence: I was a student of Rich's at FDU for three years now, and having just come home from England and not having seen him for an entire semester, he was one of the people I looked most forward to seeing again. This man has forever changed my life, the life of every theatre major, and the FDU theatre department. I learned so much from him and hold so many great memories of him. My time at FDU would not have been nearly the same without Rich, and it truly saddens me to know that future theatre majors at the school will not know him or understand the impact he has left on all of us. He was like a father to us all, in every way, and his love and care for his students was something he never let us forget (and I can only imagine what an amazing family man he was). Rich remains a true inspiration in my life, and if I have any success at a career in theatre I know I owe him a great deal of credit for it. God has gained one beautiful angel, and I am truly honored to have known him. Thank you for everything, Rich- you know I'll never forget you.

Condolence: It is hard to find the words to describe your greatness, as it is hard to believe that you've been taken too soon. A mentor and friend to us all. I will always cherish the talks we had, the jokes we shared and the advice you gave. You wanted what was best for each and everyone of us. You were like a father to us kids away from home, learning to find our way. I'll always remember all you did for me, all the struggles you helped me to overcome. I know my parents are equally as grateful for all the advice and guidance you gave to them as well. May God rest your soul, Rich, and guide your beautiful family through this trying time. My deepest condolences. You'll always be loved and missed!
