Obituary for Mildred D. DeGirolamo

Mildred D. DeGirolamo, 85, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Jersey Shore Center, Eatontown. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Oakhurst for many years, before retiring to Lakewood. She moved back to the Shore area after the death of her spouse, George, in 2010. Mildred was a secretary in New York and New Jersey. She devoted her life to her family, friends, and her strong faith.
She was predeceased by her husband, George in 2010, her parents, Joseph and Millie Lombardo and her beloved sisters, Lucy DeVico, Frances Varasano and Florence Cangeleri.
Surviving are her children, Angela and her husband Robert Brathovde of Oakhurst, Lenora and her husband Gary Wolinetz of Plainsboro, George and his wife Tricia DeGirolamo of Oakhurst and Douglas and his wife Cheri DeGirolamo of Oakhurst and 11 grandchildren, Kailey,Adam, Alexandra, Andrew, Jason, Benjamin, Lucas, Steven, Julia, Matthew, and Olivia.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 5-8 pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass Friday at 11 am at St. Anselm’s Church, 1028 Wayside Road in Wayside. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
