Obituary for Lynda-Lee Hardy Gicas

Lynda-Lee Hardy Gicas, 72, of Long Branch, died Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.

She was born in Mobile, Alabama and lived in New York City and Tenafly before moving to Long Branch in 1996.

She was a paraprofessional for the Long Branch Board of Education for 12 years before retiring in 2014. Earlier, she was a model, did off Broadway acting in New York and was in retail sales/management in New JerseyYork. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, loved living near the ocean, loved poodles and horses.

She was predeceased by her husband, Christos Gicas in 2013 and her parents, Leonard and Lois Hardy.

Surviving are her sons, Peter and his wife Michelle Gicas of Burbank, CA and Leonard and his wife Yutonya Gicas of Chatham; daughter, Lois and her husband Daniel Alston of Eatontown; and 5 grandchildren, Kennedy, Noah, Anya, Maxwell and Harper.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 6-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch.
