Louis L. Riccardi, 75, of West Long Branch, died Monday, November 26, 2012 at Barnabas Health Hospice Center, Long Branch.
He was born in Itri, Italy and came to Long Branch in 1951. He moved to West Long Branch 23 years ago.
He was a self-employed contractor for 45 years before retiring in 2002. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Figli di Colombo in Long Branch and the Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean and a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michele and Francesca Riccardi and his sister, Lina Fusco.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Mirella Ciccarelli Riccardi, 2 sons, Michael and his wife Tracey Riccardi of Darien, CT and Richard and his wife Christine Riccardi of Tinton Falls; his grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Emily, Nicolas, Matthew, Emma, and Andrew; sister and brother-in-law, Dirce and Plinio Agresti of Long Branch; brothers and sisters in law and families after his brother and sister in laws, Andrea Fusco, Giovanni, Giuseppe, Antonio and Franco Ciccarelli, Carla Stella and Graziella Frattarola.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral 9:30 am Thursday from the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Michael's Church, West End, Long Branch. Entombment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
