Lorraine Grandinetti Cocuzza, 84, of Oakhurst, died peacefully Saturday, February 2, 2013 under the gentle care of Barnabas Health Hospice in Long Branch.
She was born in Long Branch and lived in Oceanport, Long Branch and Naples, Florida before moving to Oakhurst 10 years ago.
She was a Procurement Clerk in the bid room at Fort Monmouth for many years before her retirement in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, West Long Branch.
She was predeceased by her husband, Sal; her former husband, John Pandure; her parents, Fred and Angie Grandinetti and her 2 sisters, Josephine DeLauro, her husband Tony and Mae Migliaccio.
Surviving are her daughters, Lori Pandure Price and her husband, Jeffrey of Oakhurst and Louan Pandure Dowen of Gulf Port, FL and 2 grandchildren, Lorian Marszalek and Nicholas J. Price; her cousin Judy Vogt, brother-in-law, Jimmy Migliaccio of West Long Branch and many nieces and nephews.
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we will begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived, and that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral Thursday 10 am from the funeral home followed by 11 am Funeral Mass at St. Jerome's Church, West Long Branch. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital; 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 would be appreciated.
