Lori Ann Piantanida, 43, of Toms River, passed away Friday at home.



She was born in Milwaukee, WI, and moved to Toms River in 1985.



Lori graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kean University in 2010 receiving a BS in Accounting. Lori was an enthusiastic entrepreneur opening and operating her own business, Alesia's Dolls and Gifts, in Toms River, including an Internet business. She also published a book in 1997 titled, "Freedom of the Soul". Lori was an active member of several professional organizations. She was a communicant of St. Justin the Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Toms River.

Lori was a devoted and loving wife and mother who adored her children.



She was predeceased by her father, Gary Poklasny.



Surviving are her husband, Kevin; 3 children, Alesia Marie Poklasny, Jake Aidan and Amanda Rose Piantanida; her mother, Janet Leszczak Herman; step-father, Ed Leszczak; brothers, Anthony and his wife Karen Poklasny, Andrew Poklasny, and step-brother Ed Leszczak, Jr.; grandmother, Dolores Ninke; her father and mother-in-law, Robert and Eniko Piantanida and Kathleen Piantanida; brother and sisters-in-law, Robert Piantanida, Jr., Dawn Graziano and Christine Piantanida as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
