Joseph L. Sesta, 60, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, died Saturday at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.



Born in Jersey City, he moved to Oakhurst in 1974.



He was a heavy equipment operator for the NJ Turnpike Authority for 30 years before retiring in 2006. After his retirement, he was a recreational aid at Sun Eagles Golf Club at Fort Monmouth for 5 years.



He was a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch and enjoyed working on his lawn and playing golf with his many friends.



He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Margaret Teresi Sesta; his precious daughter, Diana Jo Sesta and her fiancé Sean Buble of Oakhurst; his mother, Marion Sesta of Toms River and his loving brother, Victor and his wife Marga Lyons Sesta of Long Valley and his dog, Rocco.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral Wednesday at 9 am from the funeral home followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Michael's Church, West End, Long Branch. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
