John M. Parker, 52, of Eatontown, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at King Manor Care Center, Neptune.
Born in Red Bank he lived there and in Spring Lake before moving to Eatontown in2004.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Shrewsbury and a Navy veteran. He was a head end technician for Comcast in Eatontown for 30 years before leaving because of his disability. He battled ALS for 5 years. He stood by his brother during his illness. He was a loving and devoted son, brother and uncle.
He was predeceased by his father, John Parker and his brother, Joel Parker in 2009.

Surviving are his mother, Rita Parker of Toms River, 2 brothers, Michael of Virginia and Larry of Maryland; sister, Elizabeth Borkland of Rome, NY and 13 nieces and nephews and 5 great-nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit form 2-4 & 7-9 pm Monday at the First Assembly of God Church, Sycamore Avenue, Shrewsbury. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Tuesday at the church followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Joan Dancy and People with ALS.
