John Haskins, 77, of Asbury Park,passed away after a short illness on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. John was born in the Bronx, New York but was a long time New Jersey Resident.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Bridgett Haskins; a brother, William Haskins and two sisters, Bettty Smith and Alice Figaro. He is survived by two sisters, Rita Murphy of Brick and Trudy Sintic and her husband John of Oakhurst. He had numerous nieces and nephews. John was an ardent Yankee fan since he was a young boy and never missed watching or listening to his beloved Yankees.

Visitation will take place on Thursday from 2pm to 5pm with a 4:30 service at the Fiore Funeral Home 236 Monmouth Road Oakhurst. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society at Saint Michaels Church, Ocean ave., Long Branch.
