John Anthony Farrell III, 63, of Long Branch, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013.

He was born in Newark and lived in Wall, Toms River and Long Branch.



He was a self-employed contractor, a communicant of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, West End, Long Branch and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an Army veteran during the Vietnam War.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Farrell and a nephew, John Michael Farrell.

Surviving are his mother, Margaret Sweeney Farrell; 3 brothers, Joseph, James and Charles Farrell and 11 nieces and nephews, Laura Johnson, Erin Farrell, Brielle Farrell, Charles Farrell, Jr., Marin Farrell, Sean Michael Kelly, Susan Machunski, Dennis Kelly, Tracey Kelly, Michael Kelly and Kathleen Lanzalotto. Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 7-9 pm Saturday, June 29 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Monday, July1 at St. Michael's Church, West End, Long Branch. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
