Jack A. Henry, 86, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Carlisle, PA and lived in Oakhurst for the past 65 years.

He was a self-employed painting contractor for 33 years before retiring. Jack was an avid golfer for years before he took up fishing, which he enjoyed.

He was a US Army veteran serving during WW II.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Vera Henry; brothers, Eugene and Donald Henry and sisters, Marie and Agnes.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Janice Harsin Henry; son, Glen and his wife Theresa Henry; daughter, Bonnie Henry; 2 grandchildren, Dana and Jack Henry; his dog, Mugs; his friend and fishing buddy, Glenn Osborn and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3-6 pm Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Oakhurst Fire Department, Box 237, Oakhurst, NJ 07755.
