Ivria Antonaroli Damon, 85, of Interlaken, died on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at home.



She was born in Palinfield and lived in Bradley Beach, Loch Arbour and West Long Branch before moving to Interlaken in 2005.



She was an elementary teacher for the Bradley Beach Board of Education for 25 years before retiring in 1990. She taught first grade, fourth grade and reading. She was a 1945 graduate of Asbury Park High School. She attended Syracuse University and Trenton State College where she received a degree in elementary education. She then received a master's degree in elementary education from Seton Hall University in South Orange. Mrs. Damon also held a supervisory and a principal's certificate. She was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Deal.



She was predeceased by her husband, Francis X. Damon in 2005 and her parents, Raniero and Altomira Antonaroli.



Surviving are her children, son, Dana and his wife Debra Damon, Tracie and her husband Frank Gatta and Leslie and her husband Charles Kubasek III; sister, Irenia Donleavy and 5 grandchildren, Caroline, Andrew, Matthew, Douglas and Michael.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral 9 am Monday from the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in Deal. Entombment will follow at St. Catharine's Mausoleum, Sea Girt.
