Helen Sacco, 91, of West Long Branch, died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Brandywine in Colts Neck.



She was born in Bronx, NY and lived in New York City and Perth Amboy before moving to West Long Branch in 1942.



She worked as a sales associate at Vogel's Department Store in Long Branch for 18 years before retiring in 1972.



She was a communicant of St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church in West Long Branch and a member of the Eatontown Elks Ladies Auxiliary.



She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 2007, her son, Joseph (Butch) in 2013, her son-in-law, William Rugg, Jr. in 2010 and her parents and 5 sisters.



Surviving are her daughters, Betty Ann Rugg of Oceanport, Mary Sue and her husband Nick Pignato of Manahawkin and her daughter-in-law, Midge Sacco of Middletown; 5 grandchildren, Debbie and her husband Bill Shrader, Kim Rugg, Lisa and her husband Rob Shields, Paul and his wife Renee Sacco and Ann Marie and her husband Aaron Colelli and 10 great-grandchildren, Bobby Russo, Danielle and Travis Swartzfager, RJ, Mackenzie and newly arrived Jack Nickolas Shields, Aaron and Autumn Colelli, Chace and Kyler Sacco and Matthew Shrader.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral service 11 am Saturday at the funeral home followed by entombment at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
