Gina M. Covert, 48, of Oakhurst, Ocean Township, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at home.
She was born in Long Branch and grew up in Neptune before moving to Oakhurst 20 years ago.

She was a special education teacher with the Wall Township Board of Education retiring in 2000. She received a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University. She was a member of the NJEA.

Gina was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park and enjoyed bike riding and her dogs, Sonny, Molly and Mini.

She was predeceased by her father, James F. Albano in 2001.
Surviving are her husband, Doug; son, Robbie; her mother Dianne Albano; 2 brothers and a sister, James and his wife Carolyn Albano, Lissa and her husband Casey Weldon and Joseph and his wife Elizabeth Albano; and her nieces and nephews, James, Nicole, Matthew, Stephanie, Daniel, Sophia, Lauren, Billy, Michael and JD.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst. Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724.
