Garfield Davis, 88, of Neptune, formerly of Lakewood passed away peacefully at home May 14, 2011. He was born in Warren County, NC and was the son of the late Henderson and Victoria Davis.

He was predeceased by his son Garfield Davis, Jr., daughter, Francine D. Huggins, sisters, Mary Miller, Maria Faulcon Jones and Laura Green, brother, Charles Davis and 2 great grandsons, Michael and Nathaniel Davis.

He retired as a chef who worked over 40 years at Clayton's Log Cabin Restaurant in Barnegat.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Lille Davis; son, Kevin and his wife Carol Davis of Seattle, WA, 2 daughters, Tracey and her husband Larry Williams of Norfolk, Va and Charlene and her husband Steven Lawson of Neptune, step-daughter, Gloria Reed of Columbus, OH, 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 7 to 9 pm Friday at Greater Bethel Church of God in Christ, 201 Martin Luther King Drive, Lakewood. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday at the church
