Fred T. Hurley, 90 of Oceanport, died Tuesday, September 14 at his home.
He was born in Red Bank and was a lifelong resident of Oceanport.
Mr. Hurley was a self employed mason contractor and also served as Chief of the Fire Department at Monmouth Park, retiring in 2004. He was member of the Oceanport Fire Department and a member of the Oceanport United Methodist Church, Oceanport. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving in the South Pacific.
Predeceased by his parents, George CD and Myrtle Craig Hurley, 2 brothers, George and Lester Hurley and a sister, Eleanor Acerra.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years of Marian R. Morgan Hurley; his sisters, Doris Smith of Lexington, KY and Thelma Schmidt of Tulsa, OK, brother, Robert Hurley of GA; sister-in-law, Virginia Cook of Ocean Township and many nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4 to 6 pm Thursday and from 10 until his funeral service at 11 am at the Fiore Funeral Home 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
