Frank A. Riker, 82, of Tinton Falls, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.
He was born in Brooklyn and lived there before moving to Hazlet then to Tinton Falls 12 years ago.
He worked at Lee Lighting and prior to that at General Camera both in New York City for 40 years before retiring 20 years ago.
He attended Mass at Seabrook Village and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Sauer Riker in 2000, his parents, Harold and Marie Riker and his sister, Elizabeth Tilts.
Surviving are his daughters, Donna and her husband Bob Merrick of Wayside and Susan and her husband Louis Gringeri of Conshohocken, PA; brother, William and his wife Sandra Riker of San Francisco; companion, Alice Phillips of Tinton Falls; 4 grandchildren, Andrew, Kevin and Laura Merrick and Ryan Gringeri and 6 step grandchildren, Marcella, Lena, Louis, Vincent, Joseph and Daniel Gringeri.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3 to 7 pm Friday at St. Anselm's Roman Catholic Church, 1028 Wayside Road, Wayside. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 am Saturday at the church followed by entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Neptune. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Frank's memory to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ 07702.
