Dorothy Koenigsberg, 95, of Long Branch, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in New York City and lived in Manhattan, the Bronx and in Florida before moving to Long Branch 1 Â½ years ago.

She was a petite model, factory worker in the Bronx, and a Lady Gaga lover.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Herbert Koenigsberg and Samuel Bleifer and her parents, Jacob and Sarah Sandak.

Surviving are her son, Carl and his wife Nada Koenigsberg of Rumson, daughter, Janet and her husband Ed Lyman of Mohegan Lake, NY; 5 grandchildren, Ronald and his wife Simone Lyman, Randy Lyman, Gary and his wife Kattya Koenigsberg, Sheri and her husband Brian Anselmo and Cara Marie Koenigsberg, her Italian grandson Rinaldo Andrea Daniele and 6 great-grandchildren, Anthony, RJ and Derek Lyman, Jared Koenigsberg and Brendan and Sean Anselmo. She was the most glamorous, young at heart grandma.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 11 am until her funeral service at 12 noon Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Barnabas Health Hospice, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740.
