Obituary for Doris M. Thomann

Doris Erskine Thomann of Ocean Township passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at age 89.
Doris lived in Teaneck, NJ, where she raised her family and played an active role in local politics, the PTA, and the Women’s Club. Her most notable roles over the years, however, were loving mother, devoted grandmother, and smitten great-grandmother.
Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Paula Thomann of Atlanta, GA; her daughter and son-in-law, Dale & Elias Ostrowsky of West Long Branch; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald & Karen Erskine; four grandchildren, Ariel and her husband Nicholas, Michael and his wife Margaret and Sandra and Lauren; three great-grandchildren, Ava, Theodore and Samuel & one great-granddaughter on the way.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert Thomann.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 3 to 5 pm on Saturday, October 8th at Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
