Constantino “Gus” Houlis, 85, of Oceanport, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Shrewsbury.

He was born in New York City and lived there and in Long Branch before moving to Oceanport in 1958.

He was a programmer at Fort Monmouth retiring in 1976 after 40 years. He was an Army veteran of WW II and a former member of the Oceanport Lions Club.



He was predeceased by his son, Gary, his parents, George and Katherine and a brother Michael.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Carmela “Millie” Houlis; sons and daughters-in-law, Andre and Gigi Houlis, George and Kathi Houlis, Drew Houlis and Bonnie Graef-Houlis and 6 grandchildren, Anthony, Alexandra, Trevor and Brittany Houlis and John Zavaglia and Holly Mazza.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral and burial will be private Please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
