Christopher H. Clancy, 76, of Monmouth Beach, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at home.
Born in Miami Beach, Florida he grew up in Portland, ME and lived in various places before moving to Monmouth Beach in 1982.
He was a Professor of Law at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark for over 30 years before retiring last year. His courses included labor law, employment discrimination and Torts II. He was admitted to the Maine Bar in 1963 and to the New Jersey Bar in 1980. He was a graduate of the University of Maine with an AB in 1960 and a LBB in 1963. Professor Clancy was well loved and respected by his former students and enjoyed writing poetry in his spare time. He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bernadette and Christopher Clancy.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Michele Clancy, grandson, Christopher Clancy, brother, Richard Clancy and 2 nephews, Christopher and Timothy Clancy.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at 10 am Friday at the Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to PALS c/o Jan Dancy at Riverview Medical Center, Box 815, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
