Obituary for Charlotte M. Moran

Charlotte M. Moran, 100, of Ocean, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at home surrounded by her beloved family.
Charlotte lead an extraordinary life. She enjoyed her home and neighbors. She was an avid reader her entire life and had a sharp wit. She was a proud military wife.

Charlotte was a kindergarten teacher in her early years and later worked at the Riggs National Bank in Washington, DC. It was in Washington where she met and married the love of her life, Lt. Col. John Patrick Moran.

She relocated to New Jersey where she raised her family. It was in New Jersey where she introduces and shared her love of the Jersey Shore with her family. Nothing was more important to Charlotte than being with family especially during holidays and summer barbeques when everyone gathered. Charlotte was a great animal lover and always had pets and loved going to NYC to the theatre.

She treasured her grandchildren and was known as Nannie by all. Her love of literature was her favorite hobby and often composed her own poetry. Charlotte was a kind and loving soul who will forever be missed. To honor her memory, please wear something yellow her favorite color.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. John Patrick Moran; her parents, Edward and Lottie Morris and her siblings, MaryAnn, Jean, Howard, Charles and Frederick.

Surviving are her 2 daughters, Margaret (Meg) and her husband Michael Impellizeri of Manville, Jeanne and her husband Rick Newman of Wall and son, Michael and his wife Nena Moran of Lompoc, CA; grandchildren, Nicholas, Patrick and James Impellizeri and Charlotte and Sean Moran; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Sebastian, John Patrick and Emma and her granddogs, Casey, Abby and Sadie.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-6 pm Sunday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road in Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Asbury Park. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. Please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com for condolences.
