Carolyn “Penny” Falivene, 89, of Long Branch, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.
She was born in Newark and lived most of her life in Long Branch.
She was buyer for Orbach's in Newark and worked in sales for Beeline Fashions before retiring. She was a loving wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Mario; son, Joseph Falivene and his wife Veronica of West Long Branch and 4 daughters, Maria Falivene-Ferrante and her husband Peter of Sea Girt, Doreen Falivene of Long Branch, Carolyn Falivene-Badal and her husband Nigel of Wesley Chapel, FL and Brittany Falivene and her husband Joshua Mihalik of Elkton, MD; sister, Geraldine Ciancimino of Oxford and 2 grandchildren, Joseph and Makii.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral 9 am Friday from the funeral home followed by at 10 am Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Long Branch. Burial will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport
