Carl I. Koenigsberg, 72, of Rumson, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City.



He was born in New York City and lived in Manhattan and Rumson.







He was an importer and owned MNU Inc, agent for Wilder Imports in New York City, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Cake Bake and Roll at Pier Village in Long Branch.







He was a member of Chapel Beach Club, Sea Bright and in Who's Who in Business. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Carl was a true gentleman. He was well-read, well-spoken and a world traveler throughout Asia and Europe. He was an avid Giants fan and loved the lyrics to My Way and lived his life his way.







He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy Koenigsberg



Surviving are his wife, Nada; children, Cara Marie Koenigsberg, Sheri and her husband Brian Anselmo and Gary and his wife Kattya Koenigsberg; sister, Janet Lyman; 3 brothers, Paul, John and Cory Koenigsberg; 3 grandchildren, Jared Koenigsberg and Brendan and Sean Anselmo, along with many nieces and nephews and beloved by his extended Raffa/Daniele/Candela family in Italy.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 11 am until his funeral service at 11:30 am Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to THANC Foundation (for the cure of Thyroid, Head and Neck Cancer), 10 Union Square East, Suite 5B, New York, NY 10003, www.thancfoundation.org.
