Obituary for Walter J. Malek

Walter Malek, 91, of Oceanport died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Monmouth Care Center in Long Branch.
He was born in Passaic and lived in Bloomfield before moving to Oceanport in 1960.
He was a communicant of St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church in Eatontown and served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was the owner of Broadway Linoleum in West Long Branch since 1970 until retiring.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Lillian Sinkowitz Malek, daughters, Linda and her husband, Paul Terwilliger and Sandra Hollmann all of Oceanport; 2 grandchildren, Paul Terwilliger, Jr. and his wife Cindy and Leah Terwilliger and her husband David Attardi; 2 great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Kiley Terwilliger.
