Obituary for Mae Schenker

Mae Schenker, died on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Manor by the Sea Nursing Home, Ocean Grove. Mrs. Schenker was born in Brooklyn, NY later moving to Staten Island before settling New Jersey.

Mae had a long career as a legal secretary with a New York City Law Firm owned by her husband. Through her generosity, Mae was always present to assist any family member in need.

Mae was predeceased by her husband George and her sister, Antoinette Murray, with whom she lived for over 40 years, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015.

She is survived by her two sisters, Matilda Schriefer of Tinton Falls and Jennie Misciagna of Frisco, Texas. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews; Jean and Robert Harwood, Francine and Bill Hammerschlag and John Misciagna of Frisco, Texas and Karen and Daniel Catizone, Ocean, New Jersey. She especially loved her great nieces and nephews; Elizabeth, Melissa and Danielle Hammerschlag and Dan and Christopher Catizone.

Memorial Mass will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday, May 20th at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Asbury Park. Immediately after Mass, relatives and friends may pay their respects at the home of Karen and Daniel Catizone in Ocean Township.
