Obituary for Bernice C. Mullin

Bernice C. Mullin
Bernice (Bee) Briscoe Mullin 89, of Tinton Falls died January 22, 2017 at Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls, NJ, surrounded by her loving family.
Bee was the most loving, kind, and gentle lady to all who were blessed enough to have known her. Bee’s greatest gift was her unconditional love for her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Bee was born in Orange NJ and lived in South Orange and Maplewood before moving to Short Hills in 1961. There she and her husband John raised their 7 daughters until they moved to Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls NJ in 2009. They also maintained a home in Allenhurst NJ for many years.
While living in Short Hills and raising her family, Bee still found time to volunteer with the Twig’s group at Overlook Hospital, Summit NJ, and at St John’s Kitchen Newark NJ. She was also a travel agent for Brand Travel Agency in Madison NJ.
During World War II, she volunteered for the Red Cross.
Bee was a graduate of Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit NJ and Rosemont College in Bryn Mawr, PA.
Bee was a member of The Serra Club of the Oranges, St. Rose of Lima Auxiliary, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Deal Golf and Country Club.
She is predeceased by her parents Kate and Frank Briscoe, her husband John Mullin and her daughter Susan Ann Mullin.
Surviving are her 6 daughters, Cathy Ann Keiser of Colts Neck, Barbara Ann Mullin of Ocean, Carol Ann Chirmside and her husband Robert of Middletown, Nancy Ippolito of Boca Raton FL, Cynthia Ann Mullin of Oakhurst, and Patricia Ann McLoughlin and her husband Christopher of Allenhurst and 6 grandchildren, Christopher Keiser, Rory Chirmside, John Ippolito, and Sean, Ryan and Kate McLoughlin, and her sister, Katherine Josephson of Seabrook Village, Tinton Falls.
Our family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Cathy Haenlein, for the loving care she gave her Aunt Beezy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass in her honor at 11 am Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption, 46 Richmond Avenue in Deal. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be sent to Rosemont College, 1400 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr PA 19010 or Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child, 44 Blackburn Rd., Summit NJ 07901.
