William Shropshire age 90 passed away peacefully at home in Ocean Twp. Monday October 4, 2021. He was born in Asbury Park. He served in the Korean War with the Navy. He was an Iron Worker Local 440 and retired in 1990. William was a loving and generous father to his daughter and sons. He adored all his grandchildren and loved watching them play sports and spending time on the beach. He is predeceased by his parents and son, Douglas Shropshire. He is survived by his three children, Catherine Torre (Anthony) Robert and Brian Shropshire, eight grandsons and two granddaughters. He will forever be remembered as "Poppy" and will be greatly missed. Buckley Funeral Home 509 Second Ave Asbury Park is in charge of arrangements. All services are private.
