Obituary for Victoria Corallo

Victoria Silvestri Corallo, 98 of Ocean Township, NJ passed away on August 22, 2023 peacefully at home.   Beloved wife to Peter A Corallo, devoted Mother to Peter J Corallo and his wife Dara Smith Corallo. Cherished Grandmother of PJ and wife Kelly (Sodano) Corallo, Emily and Gianna. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph Silvestri and Cecilia DeLorenzo Silvestri as well as her sisters Rose, Vera and brother Joseph.  She is also survived by her brother Pasquale Silvestri and his wife Millie, sister-in-law Charlotte, sister-in-law Rosmarie Silvestri, and many loved nieces and nephews.   Born in Paterson and lived in Ocean Township for the past 48 years.  Victoria formerly worked at Slaters carpet company in Paterson as a salesclerk. Victoria met Peter at The 500 Club in Atlantic City in 1960. They were married in October 1961 and lived in Newark, Union, and a house with the back yard in Newark and the front yard in East Orange. They moved to Ocean in 1976 with their only son Peter.  She went on to work for Gelco furniture store in Ocean Township for 20 years.  Victoria was an avid dancer as a young adult and would always been seen first on the dance floor at every wedding or event. She enjoyed many parties at The Russian Hall in Little Falls NJ and pulled every child & adult onto the dance floor for some of her favorites like the YMCA and The Chicken Dance! Victoria left a mark on everyone who knew her with a smile on her face and never complained about anything. The family will receive their friends and family on Sunday, August 27, 2023 from 2-5 pm at Buckley Funeral Home located at 509 2nd Avenue, Asbury Park, NJ.  Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at the Church of St. Anselm parish located at 1028 Wayside Road, Tinton Falls, NJ.   Interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park located at 1500 Stuyvesant Avenue, Union, NJ. In lieu of flowers, family members are asked to donate to:  the Alzheimer’s Association on Victoria’s behalf.   https://act.altz.org/donate
