Obituary for Victor Costello

Victor Costello, 96, of Little Silver, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021.
He was born in New York City and lived in Colts Neck and Red Bank before moving to Little Silver in 1965.
He owned Costello’s Excavating in Little Silver for many years before retiring. Vic’s hobbies were family and work.
He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in West End, Long Branch and served in the US Army during WW II.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Castello; brother, Frank Castello and sisters, Angela Fagan and Anne McCue.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Angelina Delonardo Costello; children, Mary Ann Bruno, Ginnie Heggen and her husband Brett, Darlene D’Averso and her husband John and Victor Costello, Jr.; sister, Marie Murphy; 5 grandchildren, Steven Bruno, Donna McMillen, Cristina D’Averso-Collins, Michael D’Averso and Anthony Costello; 4 great-grandchildren, Amanda McMillen, Alex McMillen, Marissa Bruno and Gianna Collins and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 pm Tuesday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 am Wednesday at St. Michael’s Church in West End, Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
