Obituary for Theresa Tortorello
Theresa Rabbone Tortorello, 98, of Ocean Township, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
She was born in Newark and lived in Maplewood for 40 years before moving to Ocean 15 years ago.
She worked for RCA for many years before retiring and then she helped her son, Michael at his real estate office in Clark. She enjoyed knitting and was a talented seamstress and was also a member of the Garden Club and the Bocce Club at Rolling Meadows.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 1960; her son, Michael in 2006; her parents, Giuseppe and Concetta Rabbone; sisters, Concetta Saverino and Josephine Pizzano and a brother, Sam Rabbone.
Surviving are a daughter, Shelley Salerno; 2 sisters, Rose Richetti and Antoinette Garafolo; daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Tortorello; 4 grandchildren, Jillian Mutch and her husband Ed; Jerry Salerno; Todd Burger and his wife Denise and Catherine Hare and her husband Dan; 5 great-grandchildren, Eddie, Frankie, Lucy, Todd and Ryan and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 6-8 pm Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Please meet on Saturday at 9:45 am at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church in Neptune for her Funeral Mass at 10 am. Entombment will be at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Wall Township. For the health and safety of all guests, we ask all those in attendance to wear face masks and observe social distancing.
