Obituary for Susan Santoro

Sue wants you to know that her work here is done. She has received a call for her next assignment and will not be returning. As much as she will miss us, she is looking forward to what awaits her in eternal life. Wherever she goes next, may there be some Glenn Miller music playing, dancing, family dinners with her parents Mary and Gregory, and her seven siblings that were called before her. She is also looking forward to having her mind restored to full capacity which was recently robbed by Dementia due to the changes in her life over the last few months.

Anyone can tell you that Sue never held back her unfiltered opinions. They were guaranteed to be entertaining whether you wanted to hear it or not. Her life was simple but full. Sue loved to cook and entertain. Some of her popular dishes will surely be missed. She was always the first to show up with food if you were under the weather. And if you came to visit, you can bet on her sharing a dish of whatever she intentionally made too much of that day.

Besides cooking, she was a skilled seamstress and spent time as a home health companion. She prayed the rosary daily and loved to keep an immaculate home. Her grandsons Jason and Eric will remember her as the junk food grandma, as she always brought 2 or more shopping bags of snacks on every visit. Her daughter and caretaker Denise can finally stop worrying about her falling victim to scammers, especially publishers clearing house. Sue swore she would win that grand prize soon if she kept returning those envelopes.

Sue enters her next life knowing how well she was loved by her entire family, and we know she loved us very much. Sue leaves behind her village of a family, including her son Michael, her younger sisters Mary and Helen and many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity to her friends and family.
