Aug.7 2021 at Millennium Memory Care at Ocean after a long battle with dementia. Dick was born and raised in Ocean Township. He graduated from Asbury Park High School in 1961. His career with Jersey Central Power & Light began in 1969 and he retired from the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station as a Rad Waste Shipping Supervisior in 2000. Dick was preceded in death by his parents James and Veronica Hurley, his brother Bart, his twin brother Robert and his brother-in-law John Harris. He is survived by his loving wife Cindy, Sister Eileen Britton, brother-in law Butch Britton and sisters-in-law Mary Lou Hurley and Elfrieda Harris along with nieces; Cherie Meara and Pamela Perret and nephews; Robert Hurley and Jonathan Harris and their families. Dick enjoyed Travel and Music and he willingly lent a hand to friends in need. In his retirement Dick loved nothing more than being outside tending to his yard. Because of the Current Health Pandemic the Family is having a Graveside Service at St. Catharines Cemetery, Sea Girt on Thursday Aug.12 at 10:00 am followed by interment in the Family Plot.
