On Saturday, August 28, 2021, Norbert D. Nielebock passed away at the age of 66, in Palm Coast, FL, surrounded by loved ones.

Norbert was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany to Herta and Franz Nielebock on November 25, 1954, and immigrated to the United States of America in 1966.

He spent his career as a faithful civil servant to his adopted country. He served in the United States Army in the 140th Military Police Company in Fort Gordon, GA where he was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He then became a member of the Fort Monmouth, NJ, Police Department, where he retired with the rank of Chief. He spent his remaining years, prior to retirement, as a Budget Analyst.

Norbert spent most of his adult life in New Jersey where he enjoyed being an active member of Long Branch Elks Lodge, watching his favorite sports teams, NY Giants, NY Rangers and FC Kaiserslautern Football Club and lending a friendly hand whenever it was needed. He added to these interests upon moving to Florida where he joined the Fraternal Order of Police and became an active donator to his local food pantry.
Norbert is preceded in death by his mother, Herta; father, Franz; and stepfather, Lew. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Diane and David; siblings, Peter, Regina and Thomas; life partner and best friend, Sheila; and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephew.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 10 am until 12 noon at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Entombment will follow with military honors at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport.
