From Sam Leitner, son to Marlene:



My mother was nothing short than the perfect mom. Of course everyone has their flaws, but to me she was perfect. I felt loved and cared for every single day, and I knew I can always count on her. There is no one I trusted more to confide in- to enjoy my company with- to always know that there was someone I can rely on to always have my best interest. She was my rock, and I hers. We shared as many moments together as possible, and I will cherish them forever. From travelling to remote destinations in the Caribbean or beautiful cities in Europe to spending the day at our local park- we always made sure to cherish the time we had together wherever it may be. Although this last year was difficult, my mom maintained a positive attitude and kindness each and every day not only for herself, but also for me. I will always appreciate everything she has done for me- to help me become a better person. Words cannot express the loss we all feel from losing her, but I take solace in the fact that I now have two angels up above to guide me through my life in my late father, Bobby Leitner, and now my beautiful mother. Rest in peace; you are forever in our hearts.
