Obituary for Marie F Paquette
At the age of 98, Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Marie Paquette passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter on June 5, 2022. Marie was the daughter of the late John and Francis (Donohue) Herold and sister of the late John and Edward Herold.
Marie was born in the Bronx on April 14, 1924, where she was a graduate of Aquinas High School Class of 1942. She was an avid sports fan, especially partial to the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees.
She was a longtime resident of Huntington, New York before moving to Manchester, New Jersey in 1983. Marie loved fashion, clothes, jewelry, and shoes and always had a handbag to match. She was at her happiest while spending time with her family and wearing pink.
Beloved wife of the late Donald L. Paquette Sr. with whom she was proud to have celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage together before his passing. Loving mother to Donald L. Paquette Jr. (Michelle) of Guilford, IN and Kim Sayko (Robert) of Colts Neck, NJ. Devoted grandmother of Kristina Legg (Michael), Steven DeIanni (Marina) of Ocean Twp., NJ and Donald L. Paquette III (Leigh) of Hamilton, OH. Cherished great-grandmother of Masen, Marco, Jaxson, Vincent, Mila, Mariella and Lydia.
Friends and family may pay their respects at Fiore Funeral Home 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, New Jersey on Monday, June 13th from 4:00PM-6:00PM.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Anselm, 1028 Wayside Road in Tinton Falls, NJ with a private burial to follow.
