Obituary for Luis E. Ortiz, Jr.

2/2/77-7/21/23
Luis Emilio Ortiz, Jr., aka Big Skills, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 46 years old. Although he worked at Interstate Supplies in Wall Township as a Yard Manager, his true job in life was trying to make life a party for everyone around him. For anyone that knew him he was larger than life. He would give you the shirt off his back even if he didn’t have one to give. He may have looked intimidating but all that knew him knows he was the biggest teddy bear ever. He was the person everyone could go to no matter what the situation was. He would sit and talk for hours trying to rectify any situation he could and would literally give his last to help anyone in need. Most of all he gave his unconditional love. He encouraged every chance to get his family together even if it was just to end up playing a game or talking. He enjoyed riding his Harley on the many biker trips he took and loved vacationing anywhere he could get to. He loved music, motorcycles, playing dominoes, camping, going live on Facebook, half priced pizza at Zachary’s, his boys and most of all his family. Luis is predeceased by his mother, Donna Lopez Pinto; his father, Luis Emilio Ortiz Contreras; his brother, Carlos Ortiz; his nephew, Calvin Kendricks, Jr.; his close cousin, Ramon Santiago and his dogs, D and Ali.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Ortiz, his children, Jacob (Gabriella Manzo), Justina and Julian Sturt; his sisters, Laurie Russell, Lisa Russell Arthur (Billy), Christina Lopez-Patterson and Lucia Ortiz; his brothers; Adrian Lopez (Deborah), Luis Ortiz, Jr., James Ortiz, Sr. (Annette) and Jounattan Rivera (Brenda Liz Ortolaza); stepmother, Estebania Velez; step-father, Gilberto Pinto; step-brother, Felix Inglez a plethora of nieces and nephews, his motorcycle club the THUNDERGUARDS, his godchildren and many, many close friends.
