Obituary for Louise T Mazza

 Louise Mazza was born on July 25, 1925, in Brooklyn NY, where she lived for the majority of her life. She resided with her parents, Christine and Daniel and four siblings who have all passed away. Louise maintained a very close bond with her sisters and brothers throughout their lives.

She attended The High School of Fashion Industries in New York City . She married her loving husband, Joseph Thomas when he returned home from World War II. Louise and Joseph had two daughters, Mary Batus (married to Robert Batus who is deceased) and Christine Critelli (husband - John Critelli). She had five grandchildren, Marisa, Robert, Joseph (deceased), Lauren and John and two great grandchildren, Jack and Ali.

Louise and her husband relocated to Monroe, NJ about 30 years ago. Her husband Joseph passed away in 2004. She relocated to Seabrook Village in 2005 where she lived until she passed. Early on, Louise worked as a bookkeeper for an insurance firm in New York City. For most of her years she was a housewife and mother taking care of her mother as well as her own family. Throughout her life she was an incredible artist, fashion designer and seamstress. She had a passion for creating. She made everything from dresses, gowns, and coats, to window treatments and wall art. She was a volunteer librarian at Holy Innocents School in Brooklyn NY and was very active in the community. She was a devote Catholic. She belonged to several clubs at Seabrook including the Italian American club, the New York Club and the chorus.

Louise was loved by so many and has helped so many people through her life. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation services on Friday, January 14th from 8:30-9:30 am at Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in West End, Long Branch followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
