Obituary for Louis A. Sestito

Louis A. Sestito, 90, of Ocean Township, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 with his daughters surrounding him. He had a very full life in his 90 years on this earth.
He was born in Red Bank and lived in Elberon before moving to Ocean Township in 1959.
He graduated from Red Bank Catholic and was still an active alumnus. He joined the United States Navy and served on the USS Midway during the Korean War. He worked for the American Water Co. which he retired from. He was a proud member of the Long Branch Elks, VFW and West End Fire Company which he was a lifetime member and volunteered with the Elberon First Aid.
He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel Sestito and Mary J. Sestito, his wife, Joan T. Sestito; his son Samuel L. Sestito.
Surviving are his daughters, MaryLou Hisman and her companion, Vincent Sigona and Phyllis A. Sestito; two nieces, Caren McCauslin and her husband John and Francine Ferrelli; four nephews, Steven Cote and his wife Henrietta, Michael Cote and his wife Carola, James Cote and his wife Sharon and Paul Conte; five great-nephews, one great-niece and 2 great-great nieces.
He enjoyed traveling with his friends, all dogs and going to Atlantic City! Everyone will miss Uncle Louie!!
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 882 Broadway, West Long Branch. Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am on Saturday at Holy Trinity Church in Long Branch. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
