Condolence: I always enjoyed "Ms. White's" dynamic presence. She had a lot to say and she said it. She did not tolerate being disrespected; and woe be to those who might try. She was always very supportive of her son, my friend Chris White, who enjoyed clever and hilarious pokes at her. But all of us who knew them both realized the great love that was behind Chris' gentle jokes. A race at Monmouth Park in her honor is a perfect way to salute her; and I am sure she will enjoy it from her new vantage.
